Centralized resources for scientists, offering access to specialized technology, state-of-the-art equipment, and technical expertise, to enable research and discovery.
At CSHL, new technology is shared among researchers through Core Facilities. Staffed with highly skilled scientists, these Cores provide researchers with fast, reliable, and cost-effective access to the latest research resources. Funding for nine facilities is provided in part by the NCI-designated CSHL Cancer Center.
Office of Sponsored Programs/Grants
CSHL’s Office of Sponsored Programs works to promote the institution’s research and education programs by facilitating and managing sponsored funding in collaboration with CSHL investigators, the Director of Research, and other CSHL departments.
Located on a 12-acre site, Uplands Farm hosts the Agricultural Field Station where specialists help raise and maintain crops for Plant Biology research.
CSHL offers a vast array of computational resources to support world-class research at the Lab. Researchers benefit from the latest computational and informatics technology, providing the infrastructure that is needed to perform cutting edge science.
Library & Archives
Housed within the Carnegie building, the Library and Archives Department provides scientists and visitors with access to an extensive collection of journals, computerized information sources, reference services, and interlibrary loans. Exclusive archives also provide an immersive view of the history of science at the Lab.
Meetings & Courses Program
Meetings and conferences at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) bring together scientists from all over the world to present and evaluate new data and ideas in rapidly moving areas of biological research.
