More than 265 women attended Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s (CSHL) 18th annual Women’s Partnership for Science lecture and luncheon on September 28 at the Banbury Conference Center. The event raised over $200,000 to promote and support women pursuing careers in biomedical research, including students, postdocs, and professors.

Dr. Mikala Egeblad, a CSHL Professor since 2009, presented the event’s lecture. Egeblad’s cancer research lab focuses on understanding the microenvironments of tumors.

The group also honored Pien Bosch, whose philanthropy and service continue to benefit the local community and beyond. Bosch has been involved at CSHL for the last decade, having served as Director of the Laboratory Association Board from 2006 to 2008. She continues to remain active with the Board.
