Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) proudly hosted more than 260 golfers at its 29th Annual Golf Tournament on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Nassau Country Club and Piping Rock Country Club.

Due to a sold-out double-course tournament and exciting day-of raffles and live auction, the outing raised a record-breaking $565,000 to support CSHL’s research and education programs. All of this was made possible by the CSHL Corporate Advisory Board (CAB), the CSHL Association Board (CSHLA), and the outing’s many sponsors, including Double Helix Sponsors:

Eddie Chernoff, CSHL’s Golf Outing Chair, CAB Chair, and CSHLA Director
Marilyn Simons, Chair of the CSHL Board of Trustees, and Jim Simons
Terence J. Callahan, James J. Consagra, Jr., and Ross M. Draber of United Bank

This year’s honoree was Eric Carlstrom, CSHLA Board Director and Executive Managing Director for Aon, a leading global insurance and human capital consulting firm, where he has worked for an impressive 38 years. Eric and his wife Keri are proud parents of their three sons, Sven, Magnus and Erik Reid. Over the past four decades, Eric has been deeply involved in both community and educational organizations. He currently serves on the boards of Grenville Baker Boys and Girls Club, Help for the Poor, Fund for the Poor, and is a founding member of Tuesday’s Children. Serving on the CSHLA since 2016, Eric has been a longtime friend and supporter of the Laboratory.
