On June 15, 2021, 136 golfers took to the greens on a sunny day at Piping Rock Club for Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s (CSHL) 27th annual golf tournament. Led by CSHL Corporate Advisory Board and Golf Chairman Eddie Chernoff, the event featured a morning and afternoon shotgun start, raffles, and a live auction. The outing raised nearly $250,000 for research and education at the Laboratory.

That evening, CSHL President and CEO Bruce Stillman introduced the event’s honoree, Dr. John Passarelli. Dr. Passarelli’s collaborations with CSHL include sponsoring undergraduate students from Notre Dame at the CSHL School of Biological Sciences, assisting in the creation of the DNA Learning Center at Notre Dame, and as the lead benefactor of the SightMD Center for Health and Wellness. He currently serves as a member of CSHL’s Corporate Advisory Board.
