Description

Join us for the next edition of Cocktails & Chromosomes, featuring CSHL scientist-clinician, Tobias Janowitz, M.D., Ph.D.

Why do people get cancer? It’s a question that humanity has asked for centuries.

But given the sheer number of environmental dangers that all of our cells encounter every day, and the unavoidable DNA errors that happen every time one of our cells divides, perhaps the better question is, “Why don’t we all have cancer all of the time?” Our bodies must be able to prevent and tackle cancer very successfully, right?

Join us at the brewery and hear Dr. Janowitz discuss his work to understand how the whole body’s response to cancer may hold the key to future treatments.

Please note our location at Six Harbors Brewing Company! In addition to their beers for purchase from the bar, they also sell an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages such as Bubly, etc. Six Harbors’ snack menu is limited to chips, pretzels, and antipasto. CSHL is not providing food so please plan ahead.

Seating is limited and available on a first come first served basis.
