The word that defines my first year at the School is: “challenging.” The reason I chose the WSBS for my graduate education was because I knew it would be a challenge for me. Completing my Ph.D. in four years will require sacrifice and determination. Over the past year, I have been challenged to think outside the box and I have been challenged to become a better student and scientist. I have faced many challenges at the School and I am already reaping the rewards of my success. My experience at CSHL has surpassed my expectations and I know this is where I am supposed to be. I am looking forward to more challenges ahead and the subsequent rewards as I begin my thesis research.
