CSHL professors on the cutting edge of scientific research

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) scientists produced some of 2022’s most popular research. CSHL Professors W. Richard McCombie, David Tuveson, and Christopher Vakoc, and Adjunct Professor Z. Josh Huang rank among the top 1% of the world’s most cited researchers, according to global analytics firm Clarivate.

Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers List recognizes researchers with broad and significant influence in their fields. McCombie, Tuveson, Vakoc, and Huang join 6,934 additional scientists from 69 countries on the 2022 list.

“These individuals are helping to transform human ingenuity into our world’s greatest breakthroughs—and it is an honor to celebrate their achievements,” says David Pendlebury, head of research analysis at Clarivate’s Institute for Scientific Information.

Tuveson, Vakoc, and Huang were also featured on the 2021 Highly Cited List. In 2019, Clarivate recognized CSHL Professor Michael Wigler as one of the most cited researchers of all time.
