The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) elected Dr. David J. Stewart to be an AAAS Fellow for his outstanding leadership as Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s (CSHL) executive director of the Meetings & Courses Program. Stewart received his Ph.D. from Cambridge University in 1988. At CSHL, he orchestrates dozens of scientific meetings and courses every year. Thousands of scientists and scholars from multiple disciplines and countries gather on the CSHL campus or at virtual meetings. He has expanded CSHL’s educational programs to Asia and Europe.
AAAS is an international multidisciplinary scientific society with over 120,000 members. They recognize members who made significant contributions in scientific research, teaching, communication, and public engagement through Fellow elections.
