CSHL hosts many events all year long for science enthusiasts of all ages to attend . . . no Ph.D. required! We invite the general public to experience knowledge and nature at CSHL by taking a tour or participating in our concert & lecture programs.

10:00 am: Guided walking tour, September 7

Learn about the historic and modern architecture, the Nobel legacy, and the advanced cancer, neuroscience, and plant research taking place right here each day.

Our one-and-a-half hour guided walking tours assemble promptly at 10 a.m. in Grace Auditorium lobby (the first building to your left as you enter the campus).

ADVISORY: The tour route is primarily outdoors and takes place rain or shine. The tour includes areas of stairs and steep hills.  It is not recommended for people who have difficulty walking.

Immerse yourself in the magic of music with Sergey Antonov and Ilya Kazantsev in a captivating one- hour performance that highlights the beauty and depth of the piano and cello. The program features a blend of cherished classics and contemporary works, showcasing their exceptional technique and range.

Doors open at 5:45 p.m. No intermission. There will be a 45-minute-long reception to follow.

The concert begins at 6 p.m. sharp and concludes at 7 p.m.

There is free venue parking.

Purchasing a ticket allows you concert and reception entry, no assigned seating in auditorium, guests can sit where they like.

7:00 pm: Cocktails & Chromosomes - The hitchhiker's guide to the smelliverse

Journey with us to the smelliverse for this month’s edition of Cocktails and Chromosomes. CSHL Professor Alexei Koulakov will be taking us on an expedition unlike any you’ve been on before: straight to the nose.  He will be sharing his insights on how the brain assembles itself during development and processes information, specifically in relation to smell. 

Note: CSHL does not provide food so please plan ahead.

Seating is limited and is first come, first serve. Standing room is available once the seats are filled. Reserving your ticket on Eventbrite does not guarantee you a seat at the event.
