Description
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is joining seven other prominent science institutions from five continents in the “Life Science Across the Globe” (PDF) seminar series. Each institution will give both a science talk and a science culture talk. It is the goal of the series to increase knowledge and advance solutions to global problems through open communication of science across borders.
The talks will be hosted on Wednesdays, starting July 1, at 9 a.m. ET live-streamed through Zoom, with the link accessible through the “Life Science Across the Globe” website. There will be a question and answer period.
The talk on August 12, 2020 is hosted by the National Centre for Biological Sciences and features Uma Ramakrishnan, Associate Professor & Group Leader discussing “Tiger survival in the 21st century: Insights from population genetics” and Jayashree Ratnam, Associate Director, Wildlife Biology and Conservation Program talking about "Capacity-building for wildlife and conservation science: Academia-practitioner collaborations as a vital tool."
