Description

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is joining seven other prominent science institutions from five continents in the “Life Science Across the Globe” seminar series. Each institution will give both a science talk and a science culture talk. It is the goal of the series to increase knowledge and advance solutions to global problems through open communication of science across borders.

The talks will be hosted on Wednesdays live-streamed through Zoom, with the link accessible through the “Life Science Across the Globe” website. There will be a question and answer period.

The talk on January 20, 2021 is hosted by UBA/CONICET and features Daniel Tomsic, Professor at the Departamento de Fisiología, Biología Molecular y Celular, Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, University of Buenos Aires presenting "Seeing it coming: Neuronal bases for collision avoidance behaviors", and Carolina Vera, Professor at Departamento de Ciencias de la Atmósfera y los Océanos, Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, University of Buenos Aires discussing "Climate change challenges and opportunities: A scientific view from Argentina".
