Bacteria have inhabited our planet longer than any other life form and live almost everywhere on Earth! Humans rely on bacteria for their health and wellbeing – they are also critical to all other life. A small fraction of bacterial species is pathogenic to humans and can cause disease. Some strains of these bacteria have caused devastating plagues! Join us to investigate how we have learned to combat pathogenic bacteria over the last century.
