Get a behind-the-scenes look at groundbreaking science during our in-person, guided tour!
Explore the historic campus of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on a 1.5-hour guided walking tour. Learn about the Laboratory’s Nobel Prize–winning legacy, its distinctive architecture, and the groundbreaking research in cancer, neuroscience, and plant biology happening here every day. Tour dates are released on a rolling basis, typically 3–4 months in advance, with additional dates added throughout the season. Our tour season ends in late October/early November.
Please arrive in the Grace Auditorium lobby at least 5 minutes before your tour time. Tours begin and depart promptly from the meeting area.
Photography is not permitted inside laboratory spaces. Photos of the campus and outdoor grounds are welcome.

Weather advisory
Tours are primarily outdoors and will take place as long as conditions are suitable for walking. In the event of severe weather such as heavy rain, lightning, ice, or high winds, registered attendees will be contacted by email the morning of the tour with rescheduling information. Please check your email the evening before and the morning of your tour. Updates will also be posted on our social media channels.
