Activity description:

Reptiles and amphibians are among the most diverse and familiar groups of vertebrates on land. They are found in most habits on Earth, though reptiles have adapted to a more terrestrial lifestyle while amphibians are still dependent on water for at least a portion of their life. In fact, amphibians are thought to represent the descendants of the very first vertebrates to colonize land from the sea! Join DNALC educator Jeff Petracca and the staff of the Long Island Aquarium for an introduction to the diversity of reptiles and amphibians, and learn about the interesting behavioral and structural adaptations that have allowed them to occupy so many different types of ecosystems!
