Activity description:
DNA is a molecular cookbook for all living things, but how do you go from cookbook to creature? Join DNALC instructor, Elna Gottlieb as she explores the fast-paced world of protein synthesis through RNA transcription and translation. See how RNA helps DNA go from code to protein to life!
In this DNALC Live session, you will:
• Discuss how RNA transcribes DNA’s code and delivers the code to ribosomes
• Understand how the ribosome translates the RNA code into chains of amino acids
• Build a model representing the interaction between DNA and RNA and produce your own amino acid sequence
