The Base Pairs podcast, produced by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s Public Affairs department, won the 2018 Platinum PR Award for Best Podcast. Base Pairs is about the power of genetic information; telling stories about timely scientific topics with the help of scientists who are at the top of their fields.
The PR News Platinum and Agency Elite Awards celebrate the year’s most outstanding communications initiatives. Other finalists in the Best Podcast category included Microsoft’s .future, CropLife America’s POPagriculture, and Cambia Health Solutions’ HealthChangers. Announced on September 21st, the Base Pairs win recognized the Lab’s promotional communications strategy and use of social media.
Earlier this year, Base Pairs was nominated for Best Science & Education Podcast for the 2018 Webby Awards. Listen to the season 3 finale, “Genomes, justice, and the journey here.”
