Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) has been named a 2020 Top Long Island Workplace. On November 12, 2020, CSHL and other companies across Long Island were honored at a virtual ceremony held by Newsday. This is the third year in a row that CSHL has been awarded this prestigious honor.

Newsday surveyed employees across Long Island about the various aspects of their workplaces. Answers from the anonymous survey were analyzed by Energage, a third-party company. As part of the large companies category, those with more than 500 employees, CSHL shared the honor with other Long Island institutions. CSHL employees indicated that they felt the Laboratory had strong values, had confidence in the leadership, and were part of something meaningful. CSHL was also given a special award for having the best employee benefits.

“I love being a part of something bigger, something important,” one employee wrote in their survey. “I love the community here, and I love that my job gives me the opportunity to help people. I’m personally and professionally fulfilled at the Lab.”

The Laboratory’s employees and facilities are what make it a great place to work. The administration of CSHL thanks all the employees who participated in the survey that led to this award of distinction.
