Stand Up for Suzanne, a Long Island-based group founded to support cutting edge research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory will hold their annual luncheon on March 12 at the Milleridge Cottage.  This year’s honorees are  Miana Jun and Rebecca Pine—The Breast and the Sea project (www.thebreastandthesea.com). “The Breast and the Sea project is a written and photographic compilation capturing the strength and beauty of breast cancer survivors and their connections with water. Through this project, Miana and Rebecca seek to support and empower those who have been affected by this disease, and to help normalize their changing bodies.”

Additionally, the work of Miana and Rebecca is being featured during the month of February at the SoHo Photo Gallery in NYC (http://www.sohophoto.com/exhibition-archive/). The show runs from February 2 until February 27, 2016. There will be an Artist’s Talk on Friday, February 12 from 6-7pm and Saturday, February 13 from 6-7pm and a Survivor Workshop on Saturday, February 13 from 7:30-9pm (the Survivor Workshop is for breast cancer survivors, previvors, and those living with active breast cancer).
