Please help Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) spread the word about scholarships offered by LI2Day Walk to Long Island high school seniors who have had cancer or had a parent/guardian with cancer. CSHL is grateful for funding from LI2Day Walk supporting breast cancer research, and we are pleased to partner with this scholarship program, which has awarded over $230,000 in the past 15 years.

Available scholarships include:

  • LI2Day Scholarship: A $2,500 scholarship awarded to 5 graduating seniors. The student must be a survivor of breast cancer and/or other women’s cancers, or reside with a parent or guardian who is a survivor of breast cancer and/or other women’s cancers, or have resided with a parent or guardian who has passed away from breast cancer and/or other women’s cancers.
  • Maria A. Sciara Scholarship: A $2,500 scholarship awarded to 3 graduating seniors. The students must be a survivor of any cancer other than breast cancer and/or other women’s cancers, or reside or have resided with a parent or guardian who is a survivor of any cancer other than breast cancer and/or other women’s cancers, or have resided with a parent or guardian who has passed away from any cancer other than breast cancer and/or other women’s cancers. Those aspiring to become teachers will be given extra consideration for this scholarship, but pursuing an education to become an educator IS NOT required to apply.
