An employee must work Full Time or Part Time (working 20 hours or more each week) to qualify for our benefits.  Excluded are Part Time Employees working less than 20 hours each week, and Seasonal Employees (those who are employed for a limited period of time).

Long Term Disability 60% of your monthly salary will be paid to you after 6 months of continuous absence due to non-work related illness or injury; at no cost to you (excluding Visiting Scientists); eligible on date of hire.

Lab Retirement Plan Must be at least 21 years of age and have worked a minimum of 1,000 hours for two consecutive years. CSHL contributes the equivalent of 9.3% of your annual salary up to the social security taxable wage base and 15% of your annual salary above that base. Post Doctoral Fellows and Visiting Scientists receive a 1% contribution.
