DESCRIPTION
The Microarray Shared Resource provides Cancer Center members with access to state-of-the-art microarray platform technologies such as expression arrays, CGH arrays, copy number arrays, exon arrays, and several other molecular techniques that have become available over the last several years. Libraries for functional inactivation by RNAi are distributed by this Shared Resource. All services are LIMS supported for sample tracking and quality assurance.
SERVICES
Microarray chips:
- The Microarray Shared Resource provides access to Affymetrix Genechips, Agilent Genchips, NimbleGen chips.
- Custom microarraying is available on request for user-provided samples.
Array services:
- Complete labeling and hybridization services are available with RNA samples submitted by users.
- Training is offered for all steps of the microarray experimental process for users interested in carrying out their own experiments.
Array Bioinformatics:
Standard data analysis is provided for all array platforms, including image analysis to inspect individual arrays for intensity, signal to noise and other QC metrics as well as project analysis to examine signal ranges and backgrounds for all arrays within a project to be able to compare data from chip to chip. - Additional informatics services and training are available for reannotating, syntenic analysis, etc.
- Data warehousing, and some data analysis, are available through a secure web based server, using the ArrayAssist enterprise software package.
- Training and support are also available for GCOS, MAS 5.0, Spotfire, S-plus, Bio-conductor and associated R Based Tools.
Maintenance and distribution of libraries:
shRNAs are available from OBS for functional analysis. The Microarray Shared Resources processes requests for shRNAs and distributes them to CSHL scientists.
- RNAi library
