Promotions this year included
plant geneticist Ulrich "Ueli"
Grossniklaus, who studies plant reproductive biology
and development; cancer researchers Greg Hannon, who
studies cell cycle, and Scott Lowe, who studies
apoptosis and cancer therapy resistance; X-ray
crystallographer Rui-Ming Xu; and genome computer
scientist Michael Zhang. Each was promoted to
Assistant Investigator.
