Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s Department of Human Resources has compiled the following list of resources for those in need of assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

As Long Island communities remain in recovery mode, please consider carpooling and using public transportation. CSHL will operate shuttle service based on train schedules.

Local Community Resources:
Community Resource Database of Long Island is a searchable database for Long Island resources, with live assistance between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

WBLI music station frequently updates a list of open stores, where to buy ice, food, gas, and find cell phone charging stations as well as complete listing of Sandy Emergency Resources

Salvation Army Greater New York Division: Free packaged meals and drinking water in specific locations.  Locations change daily.  Check website or Facebook page.

Mobile Meals Distribution Centers in Suffolk County open at 11am for lunch and 4pm for dinner:
