The Gift of Giving Packaged In Cold Spring Harbor, A 2004 Calendar
During the hectic holiday season how do you find the time and resources to give to loved ones and to worthy charities? With Cold Spring Harbor, A 2004 Calendar, the savvy shopper can check off two items on the same busy list.
“The posters have been a real hit with the scientific community. They showcase the natural beauty of Cold Spring Harbor and provide images of relaxation and recreation,” Mendelsohn said.
The calendar retails for $13, and all proceeds support cancer research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, the only National Cancer Institute-designated basic research center on Long Island. Cancer research has been a major initiative at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory for more than thirty years. Nearly 200 scientists are committed to cancer-related research, including studies on breast, ovarian, cervical, colon, and pancreatic cancers, as well as malignant melanoma, leukemia and lymphoma.
Calendars can be viewed and purchased online at http://www.cshl.edu/calendar; by phone at 516-367-8844; or at DNA Stuff in Cold Spring Harbor, or Huntington Business Products Centre and The Book Revue, both in Huntington.
