L.I.A.B.C. — Long Islanders Against Breast Cancer — is a small fund-raising organization started approximately seven years ago by a concerned group of citizens who wanted to promote breast cancer research. All of the funds they raise go directly to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a leading breast cancer research facility on Long Island. They have no administrative or operating costs; they merely raise funds for Cold Spring Harbor and help fund its research.
