Catalog of Human Genetic Variation Speeds Disease Research


CSHL bioinformaticist Lincoln Stein and his colleagues are part of an international public-private consortium that has published a comprehensive catalog of human genetic variation. This landmark achievement is already accelerating the search for genes involved in common diseases including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and asthma.
