Cold Spring Harbor, New York – Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) welcomes the community to its 110+ acres campus for guided walking tours of historic buildings that house revolutionary research in cancer, neuroscience, and bioinformatics and genomics. Reservations are required for the 90 minute tours that are scheduled most Saturday mornings from April through November, 2007.
The guided walking tours explore the past, present and future of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, emphasizing the historic architecture, the Nobel legacy, and providing a peek into the leading edge research taking place here each day.
The Laboratory is situated at One Bungtown Road (off Route 25A) in Cold Spring Harbor. Tours assemble promptly at 10 a.m. in the Grace Auditorium lobby (the first building to your left as you enter the Laboratory grounds).
To join a tour, reservations and a non-refundable tour fee of $5.00 per person are required at least 7 days in advance. Please call 516.367.6895 to make your reservation payment or for additional information.
The tours are primarily outdoors and take place rain or shine. They include areas of stair-climbing and steep hills and are not recommended for people who have difficulty walking.
